Siwin‑OHR21 is a linear polysiloxane capped with primary hydroxyl groups at both ends. It is capable of reacting with isocyanates, carboxylic acids, epoxy compounds and other substances, to graft polysiloxane segments into polyurethane, polyester, epoxy resin and other polymer systems. The modified materials gain excellent properties including softness, water resistance, weather resistance, thermal‑shock resistance and low internal stress. The reactivity of its terminal primary‑hydroxyl groups is comparable to ethylene‑glycol‑based polyols.

Application

Siwin-OHR21 is linear polysiloxane terminated with primary hydroxyl groups at both ends. It can react with isocyanates, carboxylic acids, epoxy compounds, etc., to incorporate polysiloxane into polymers such as polyurethane, polyester and epoxy resin, endowing the materials with outstanding properties including softness, water resistance, weather resistance, thermal shock resistance and low internal stress. The reactivity of terminal hydroxyl groups is comparable to that of ethylene glycol-terminated polyols.
